The Dart for Art – Ann Arbor Mile kicks off the Townie Street Party, which supports the Ann Arbor Street Fair, the Original. The Art Fair draws hundreds of artists and thousands of visitors from all across America to Ann Arbor each July. The Dart for Art is an all-inclusive 1-mile race, with divisions for elite athletes, local runners, families, kids, and anyone who wishes to enjoy a one-mile run, jog or stroll in downtown Ann Arbor. To celebrate the terrific team spirit in our community, the race also includes a Team-Work Challenge to see who has the fastest company in Michigan.

The race passes by The University of Michigan’s Law Quad, Ross School of Business, Museum of Art and much more. The course starts and finishes downtown Ann Arbor near the State Theater. The Post-Race Party will take place at Ann Arbor’s beloved Townie Street Party until 9:30pm. The Townie Street Party celebrates all things local and is the city’s way of thanking Ann Arbor residents for so graciously hosting the Ann Arbor Art Fair each year. The party offers a fun-filled evening for the whole family, where visitors can enjoy terrific music by some of the area’s bands, grab a bite of townie grub, or enjoy a brew at the Townie Pub. The Party takes place on N. University between Thayer and Fletcher and on North Ingalls Mall.
